Clinical Outreach at Metro Health DC

At Metro Health DC, our mission is to make healthcare accessible to underserved communities across the Washington, D.C. area. Through our clinical outreach programs, we bring essential health services to vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness and individuals with limited access to care.

Our Outreach Focuses:

Primary Care Services: We provide a full range of medical services, from preventive screenings to chronic disease management and urgent care, ensuring that individuals receive high-quality medical attention wherever they are.

HIV/AIDS Prevention and Treatment: Our outreach team offers HIV testing, counseling, and access to PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), along with comprehensive treatment options for those living with HIV/AIDS.

Mental Health Support: We are actively building a robust mental health program, which will offer counseling, psychiatric services, and referrals for ongoing care. We understand that mental health is just as critical as physical health, and our growing services are designed to address the complex mental health needs of the communities we serve.

Physical Well-being and Fitness: With a strong focus on physical health, we incorporate fitness into our outreach to help individuals build and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We believe that physical fitness is closely intertwined with mental health, and regular physical activity can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall well-being. Our outreach includes fitness programs, wellness workshops, and community-based activities designed to promote both mental and physical health.

Mobile Health Units: Our mobile clinics bring healthcare directly to underserved neighborhoods, eliminating barriers to care and providing on-site services ranging from health check-ups to vaccinations.

Community Engagement: Metro Health DC is not only present at community events, colleges, and schools throughout the DMV area, but we also host our own outreach events. From health fairs to wellness workshops, we strive to meet people where they are and provide comprehensive healthcare services tailored to their needs.
